How do you play a rogue?!

My first past-lvl-10 character was a human rogue, and I...hated her. :D I didn't even wanna touch WoW again after having played her, but the boy convinced me to roll a draenei and I *heart*ed her enough to keep at it.

I kept my rogue, though, and now that I have a lvl 60 I figured I'd have the patience to go back and give her a go again (she's lvl 15 and just waiting to slap on the entire blackened defias set, yummeh).

Within five minutes of touching her, I couldn't stand her. I suspect this is because I have no knowledge of the class, attacks etc. Partially because I was in Westfall, sure, but even doing Westfall with my warrior was more enjoyable than on my rogue. I ran the girl a few steps then logged out because trying to use her action bar was a pain in the ass- really, four attacks, argh~!

I do want to level her up, though. I like her, despite...not liking her. XD But I know nothing about rogues.

Seeing someone whine about how we can't have a list of the 'twenty five coolest white men' just pisses me off.

Same as it pissed me off when one of my coworkers was all "lolz why can't we have a STRAIGHT parade?" when I was discussing the gay pride parade with someone else.

Some people will just never get it.

Happy 4th of July! It is 232 years since a certain document was written. Good times (partly).

Went to the Takoma Park parade this morning, as is my way. Very good this year. Dogs, gambling, horses, crazy people, C. Van Hollen, my mom and dad, steel bands playing "Umbrella," kids, and a not-the-hottest-day-of-the-year temperature. I enjoyed it very much.

Go see Wall-E, folks. It's pretty much the cutest movie of all time.

It appears that Aug. 22 or so will be my last day in MD.

Non sequitur: Dear members of the media, please for God's sake stop affixing "-gate" to any scandal that comes out. The Watergate incident was not about water. It was about a hotel called the Watergate. Good lord this really, actually pisses me off. Please please please stop.

Jesse Helms dies. Ding, dong, cue dancing Munchkins.

My first toon was a lock but I abandoned it and made my mage my main.  However, my lock has recently dinged 70, my intentions are to use this toon entirely for farming. I have max herbalism and am leveling mining when I'm bored.  My problem is that I can't really figure out how to effectively play!

I leveled as Affliction and Demonology and have tried all three trees since hitting 70 but haven't enjoyed either. I know a lot of this comes because I don't really know HOW to play any of the specs effectively.  So, my question is, what spec will seem most at home to a mage?  Now, I think Destro seems the most likely but want your input as well.  I don't have great gear but I don't really expect to raid or anything, not even five mans, just need to be able to down some trees in Skettis and such. :)  Also, if you post a spec, please dumb down how to play it, I'm kinda nub. :D

My friends and I decided to make an arena team (5v5) last night for fun. The problem, we have no clue what we are doing. We recently started doing AV all together and are having a great time at that. Arena seems to be a different beast though.

Heres how the few matches we did went:
- Enter arena
- Get owned in the face

We have a fire mage, feral druid, enhance shammy, dps warrior, and restokin. I know, random mix, possibly bad. Like I said, we just made it for fun, but what exactly is a strategy for arena? The gates open up and we just kinda felt lost, lol.

I've decided to just go ahead and buy Lost: Via Domus for the PS3 online since it seems forbidden (or something :P) in stores around here. I've been looking on ebay, but the prices are just about the same as buying it from a big box store so my question to you is:

For those who shop online, where do you buy your new/used games?

Bonus points if it ships from Canada so I do not have to deal with our insane customs.

I threw my hat in at livelongnmarry and have offered to write either original fiction or fanfic for the auction.

I know I stopped writing fanfic several years ago, and I don't talk over here much anymore. But while I was gone I did complete an MFA in writing and I've just finished writing the first novel in a YA Fantasy series.
